CHAMBER CHOIR

Directed by Lynsey Callaghan, the singers receive expert tuition by experienced vocal tutors and highly skilled musicianship staff.  Performances and trips, both in Northern Ireland and internationally, will establish this choir as one of Northern Ireland's leading youth choirs.  As well as regular performances, the Chamber Choir works with Northern Ireland Opera Studio Artists, collaborates with the Belfast Philharmonic Choir and Youth Choirs, and in 2017 joined with the Dublin Youth Chamber Choir in an exciting new venture as the Cross Border Youth Choir.  The Cross Border Youth Choir's first performance saw them place equal second in the National Youth Choir Class at the 2017 City of Derry International Choir Festival.  In October 2018 they went one better and were crowned National Youth Choir in this year's Festival.

The Belfast Philharmonic Youth Chamber Choir aims to offer a unique choral music education experience in Belfast.  The young singers will perform a wide repertoire, from medieval and renaissance music to compositions by living composers, placing a special emphasis on the performance of music by local composers.

The Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6.00pm with musicianship training available from 5.15pm in St. Bride's Hall, Derryvolgie Avenue, Belfast BT9 6FP.
